On-site encapsulation process of pulley lagging

2021-01-21

Pulley lagging is an important part and part of the belt conveyor transportation system. The rubberized roller can effectively improve the operation of the conveyor system and protect the metal surface of the roller from wear.

There are rubber patterns on the rubberized surface of the pulley lagging, there are diamond patterns or chevron patterns and flat three types and ceramic rubber sheets under special industrial and mining conditions. Pulley lagging is widely used in industries such as power plants, coal mines, cement plants, iron and steel, metallurgy, coal, fertilizers, grain depots, and ports.

Method/Step:

Grinding the drum: Use a high-speed angle grinder and fiber polishing disc to polish the metal surface of the drum to ensure that the metal surface of the drum must be polished clean and clean with a cleaning agent. If the drum surface is defective, it needs to be treated in advance.

Applying adhesive: After the cleaning agent is completely dry, apply a thin layer of metal treatment agent, and wait for the metal treatment agent to dry completely, about half an hour (depending on the weather and environment on site ), start to prepare the cold glue after mixing;

Brush adhesive: Pour the hardener into the cold glue and stir evenly to make it completely mixed. When applying the adhesive, the metal surface of the roller should be evenly covered in the first pass. After the application is finished, wait for it to dry to the back of the fingers, and then apply the cold viscose mixture for the second time. Brush with cold adhesive.

Adhesive rubber sheet: When the adhesive feels sticky in the second pass, start to paste the rubber sheet. When adhering, use a square and elastic line to take a straight line. The rubber sheet should be pressed from the middle to the two sides. For bonding, use a pressing wheel to continuously compact in the same direction, and further tap and compact with a rubber hammer.
